Hosannah: “Save us Now!!!”
(Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-40, John 12:12-19)
Waiting consumes a significant portion of our lives, each of us anticipating something unique. In mundane moments, it’s the flick of a switch or the progression of a line. Yet, deeper within, we yearn for various aspirations: the ideal partner, the dream job, a chance for healing, reconciliation, or fulfillment of other desires. Waiting permeates our existence. Many of us hold out hope for the world’s repair, only to face recurring disappointment. This echoes the sentiments of those who first hailed Jesus on Palm Sunday, shouting “Hosannah,” yet ultimately missed the profound opportunity it heralded. Let’s not repeat their mistake, neglecting the potential for transformative experiences beyond our imagination.
